NACF MEN'S

MINISTRY

The New Anointing Christian Fellowship Men’s Fellowship has been in existence from the early days of the establishment of the Berean Church of God which was the previous name of our church until July 2005 (See About Us on our Home Page).

The executive leadership of the group consists of a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer who are all elected by secret ballot voting of Men’s Fellowship members. Although the majority of members of the Men’s Fellowship comprise members of NACF, this is not a criterion for membership. We have had a few Men’s Fellowship attendees who were not members of NACF

MEETINGS

Bi-monthly (third Saturday of the month)

LOCATION

At NACF, unless outside activities are planned

ROLE

  • Provide an opportunity for the men of NACF to fellowship in an informal setting

  • Promote mutual Christian growth

  • Provide mentorship to younger men

  • Discuss issues affecting men

  • Engage in team building activities

  • Plan for the Men’s Sunday (3rd Sunday of the month) programme

  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the Church building and grounds, and

  • Reach out to and fellowship with men from other community churches

ACTIVITIES/EVENTS

  • Some of our planned activities include bowling, pizza night; dominoes

  • With the support of the church, a representative group of volunteer men receive complimentary tickets to the annual Promise Keepers TM meeting held in Winnipeg. This is always an excellent opportunity to fellowship and network with men from other churches.

  • Signature event is our annual NACF Men’s Fellowship Spring Breakfast which provides an affordable, hardy, delicious buffet-style Caribbean-Canadian breakfast to men, women, youth and children from the church and wider community. The breakfast is very popular in Winnipeg, is considered an excellent “bang for the buck” and is always very well attended. The men of NACF (both young and old) donate and shop for almost all the raw materials and “commandeer” the kitchen for that day in preparing and serving all the meals. Typically, after breakfast, there is a short period of praise and worship and a guest speaker is invited to provide a message of motivation and encouragement. Our Guest Speaker for 2013 was the Chief of Police of the City of Winnipeg, Devon Clunis.
