The Helping Hands Mission was founded in June 2007 by the Special Projects Coordinator of New Anointing Christian Fellowship. The Mission was founded based on the scripture in Matthew 25:40 where Jesus states that...
“In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of
these my brethren ye have done it unto me.”
This mission continues to grow and has been very effective in the church and wider community in:
Providing cash and kind support to those who are under privilege and in need
Donate Christmas hampers to needy families in the church community
Provide year-round access to frozen meats and other food items, and
Help other missions to fund raise.
The helping hands mission holds two signature fellowship and fundraising events each year. Both events are successful
Bake and Craft Sale (usually held in partnership with the NACF Women’s Ministry and is typically scheduled for early December. Features Caribbean style dainties as well as Crafts, which are donated by volunteers and sold at very reasonable prices to church and community members.
Community Concert which is usually held in October and features an invited popular artist as well as local artists. Some of the featured artists over the years include:
Pastor Gerry Thompson, an accomplished international gospel artist, song writer/producer and CEO and Founder of Vision of Truth Outreach Ministries, TV Producer and a minister of the Gospel
Pastor Shirley Simpson, who is known as Toronto’s “Black Country Singer”
Brother Hopeton Lewis, Founder and President of the Hopeton Lewis Caribbean Gospel Music Awards USA, Songs 4 Life Ministries and Rockstone Music Productions, Bay City Music & Distribution and owner of Caribbean Jubilee (CGJ) Internet radio broadcasting from New York
And other noble artists from North America and the Caribbean
If you are looking for an avenue to provide help to others and to make a small difference in someone’s life, consider a donation to the Helping Hands Mission or supporting one of the Mission’s fundraising events
